About NAPAS
The National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) is the first intermediary payment service provider granted a license by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to provide switching and electronic clearing and settlement services in Vietnam. NAPAS’s majority shareholders include SBV and 15 leading commercial banks in Vietnam. NAPAS has been appointed by the State Bank of Vietnam to develop the retail payments infrastructure including the domestic chip card standards for Vietnam, build an automated electronic clearing system (ACH) for retail transactions, and to propose solutions for the development of non-cash payments in Vietnam.

2018 Theme
The synergy of account-based ticketing and the acceptance of open-loop consumer payment products to pay for transport fares is driving a convergence between retail payments and transport payments. This trend has particular significance in Asian markets where national payments policy and infrastructure are evolving to build wider acceptance of convenient and efficient e-payments systems.

Transport Payments Asia Pacific will explore these important trends and their implications through the theme:
Open Payments for Integrated Transport and Retail Ecosystems

Transport Payments Asia Pacific is also supported by the State Bank of Vietnam and the World Bank
